Hello all,
I apologize if this topic has been posted before, but I really need help. My husband has been offered a position as a sportsman under Tier 2 with sponsorship. I have a master's degree, and would like to find employment in the UK as a social worker. Would I need to get my own visa, or can I work under his visa? Also, since his job is sponsoring him, would we still have to show proof of funds in the bank account?
If I do need my own visa or permit, can I just apply under Tier 2, since my occupation is on the national shortage list? And is their a guarantee that those jobs will sponsor me?
I hope the question is not too confusings, but this is really frustrating. Thanks in advance for any help. |

I would advise you to get a Tier 1 yourself, apart from costing a bit more to start with, it will make things easier.
Your husband will need to show proof of funds, its something like 800 for the main applicant plus 500 for each dependant, balance maintained for 3 months etc |

| Thank you. Is there any way to get around the 3 month fund rule??? If not, then things will unfortunately not be easy. Thank you for your input. |
