Job Description
This role involves dealing with development control applications ranging from minor householder through to change of use and commercial development. It also allows you the chance to advocate the council's interest in major developments and previous experience of major applications would be an advantage.
The council itself is committed to promoting enthusiasm in it's planning procedures and therefore, requires someone with a real passion for planning to implement a fresh impetus within the team.
Situated in Essex on the Thames gateway this council is easily accessible from London yet offers the tranquillity of working within a small town by the coast.
It includes seven miles of award winning coastline, over eighty parks and open spaces, six nature and fourteen historic conservation areas.
Situated in the town's Civic Centre, the planning department is located centrally to all of the above and the council's hotspots.
