Job Description
An east central London Borough are looking to appoint an experienced planner to their policy department.
The Borough is at the heart of London's growth plans, with 35,000 new homes and 100,000 jobs planned to be delivered by 2016. Being one of the host Borough's for the Olympics and part of London’s two major growth corridors: the Thames Gateway and the London-Stansted.
They are the first London Borough to submit a Core Strategy and area action plans to the Secretary of State. The council are now initiating the next phase of documents for the LDF including an Area Action Plan for the centre of the borough. The Council is seeking dynamic planner to join the Strategic Planning Team in the preparation of the area action plan.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months policy planning experience in the UK, be a really keen strategic thinking planner, who is full of ideas, and not afraid of really challenging work to be part of a dynamic team that is producing an Area Action Plan.
