Job Description
A south London Borough requires an experienced policy planner to join the Forward Planning department.
You will be joining a friendly team of 8 working on the preparation of the Boroughs first Local Development Framework. They have an up to date UDP and are reviewing it. Sustainability is at the heart of the new plan and they already have a range of innovative policies and projects underway.
You will require knowledge of development plan legislation and techniques and have the ability to undertake research, evaluate policy and present findings in reports to Council. Familiarity with ICT for spatial planning is needed. The job involves attendance at community involvement events that may include hard to reach groups.
2 years experience in planning policy formulation is needed - ideally covering different topics. An interest in housing is particularly sought, Along with a planning qualification.
