Job Description
Our client, a well established organisation with a reputation for excellence is seeking a Geo-Environmental Consultant.
All applicants will have a strong geo-environmental technical background, (ideally with a post graduate qualification) and at least 3 to 6 years of experience - preferably involved in contaminated land assessment and remediation work.
Ideal applicants will have solid experience or a keen interest in the following areas of work:
- Undertaking geo-environmental detailed Phase 1 desk studies and walkovers.
- Undertaking and supervising Phase 2 site investigations including soil and rock logging, soil and groundwater sampling and in situ testing.
- nterpretative report writing ideally including undertaking human health risk assessment including CLEA, RBCA and SNIFFER
- Contaminated land remedial works supervision
- Undertaking preliminary geotechnical assessments such as basic foundation designs
- Preparation of detailed design of contaminated land earthworks and remediation schemes
- CDM Regulations and preparation of Health and Safety Plans for site works
