This company, who specialise in providing integrated highways network maintenance services throughout the UK, are looking for a Site Agent to join their Structures Investigation Team for their south western Highways Maintenance Contract.

The Site Agent will be responsible as part of the Structures Investigation Group for the safe delivery of construction works. They will also be involved assisting the designers in the preparation of schemes and investigation work.

The Site Agent will undertake the following:
• Provide designers with advice on proven construction methods, helping to fully scope works packages.
• Assist in the production of the designers hazard elimination schedule and the Pre-Construction and Construction Phase Health and Safety plans
• Co-ordinate supply chain and help build Target cost and Project delivery programmes.
• Provide advice on traffic management (Chapter 8) and co-ordinate with adjacent stake holders and supply chain Partners.
• Deliver Projects and investigations to agreed programme, keeping financial records and assisting the commercial team in producing final accounts.
• Monitoring weekly progress against the agreed project programme.
• Assess suitability of method statements and risk assessments for all supply chain partners works. Provide designers and engineers with advice on the production of Risk assessments and Method statements for all principal contractors works.
• Produce weekly project progress reports for submission to the Highways Agency Project Sponsors.
• Act as central point of contact for all site works.
• Keep all site records i.e. Health & Safety Plans, Inspection records and Site Audits, Site measure, Compensation event register, daily records.
• Liaise with the network control centre, reporting daily traffic management situation reports and assistance the Customer Care officer.

The ideal candidate will
• Have an HNC, ONC or degree equivalent
• Be a member of a professional engineering body (I Eng)
• Hold a valid 5 day site safety awareness course
