Job Description

ESSENTIAL

Qualifications:
•Eligible for GMC registration
•MB BS (or equivalent)
•MRCPCH (or equivalent )

Clinical Experience:
•Minimum of 2 years as Paediatric SHO in recognised training posts including 12 months general paediatrics and 12 months Neonatology with a dedicated Neonatal SHO rota
•OPD Experience of at least 20 clinics

Clinical Skills:
•specified procedures as listed in RCPCH guidelines
•awareness of clinical risk management
•competent to work without direct supervision where appropriate
•clear logical thinking
•Sound manual dexterity

DESIRABLE

Qualifications:
•Other degrees eg BSc, BA or equivalent honours degree
DCH

Clinical Experience:
•Subspecialty experience
•Community experience
•6 months in level 3 Neonatology)
•PALS/APLS/NALS
•Child Protection course
•Post-reg experience abroad
