Candidates are required to hold a clear enhanced CRB, references covering the last 5 years and a full CV covering and explaining any gaps in your employment history and also having the reasons for leaving previous posts.

Children in Need Meetings. Cluster social workers will contribute to the organisation of these meetings and may be required in some circumstances to record the meeting and the action plan, and act as chair.
Social workers will have an accurate and multi-agency understanding of the Merton Child Concern Model and will deliver some training regarding social care thresholds within the model to other agencies including schools, education welfare service, voluntary sector agencies, social care teams and health teams.
Social workers will work as part of multi-agency teams and the Children’s Social Care Access and Assessment Team and will be line managed and supervised by the Vulnerable Children’s Team Manager.
Social workers may be required to do direct work with children in need and their families, including home visits on occasion, carrying out Initial Assessments where necessary, communicating with children and their parents, supporting schools to undertake this and seeing children in the school environment.
Socal workers are responsible for ensuring good communication between the schools in their cluster, and other agency representatives attached to the cluster areas, and children’s social care teams.
Social workers are responsible for recording all work done on the Children’s Social Care electronic data collection and storage systems.
Social workers are responsible for collating information about outcomes for children and contributing to performance management evaluation through the Team Manager including user feedback.
To build and maintain effective working relationship with head teachers and their staff in the cluster group

Candidates need to be registered with the General Social Care Council.
