Job Description

Candidates are required to hold a clear enhanced CRB, references covering the last 5 years and a full CV covering and explaining any gaps in your employment history and also having the reasons for leaving previous posts.


To be responsible for specific responsibilities for professional and
workload performance, development and review of the Team Members
including reporting of sickness and performance outputs to Senior Team
Managers

2. As directed by the Senior Team Manager to contribute to the
management of the workload of the Team in line with statutory
requirements, eligibility threshold and department policies and
objectives.

3. To undertake negotiations with budget holders and other agencies to
secure appropriate funding to meet children's assessed needs.

4. To promote user and carer involvement and consultation.

5. To be responsible for devolved Section 17 budgets and to ensure
cost-effective service delivery.

6. To undertake all work activities so that the Council equalities
values are upheld.

7. To attend, organise and chair meetings as appropriate and as
requested, within the department and with other agencies.

8. To cover for other practice managers and deputise for the line
manager as and when required.

9. To offer specialist consultation/advice on complex cases and
circumstances within the Children's Care Management and Assessment
Teams.

To provide expert knowledge and theoretical perspectives to promote
practice excellence

11. To undertake any other duties consistent with the basic objectives
of the post as may be required from time to time by the line manager.

12. To act at all times in accordance with the Council and Departmental
Policy.

13. To exercise responsibility as laid down under the Health and

Safety at Work Act or as amended by Departmental procedures.

To uphold and further the Council's equal opportunities policies and to
deliver effective and appropriate services fairly and without
discrimination.

To manage and co-ordinate Child Protection Section 47 enquires.


Candidates need to be registered with the General Social Care Council.
