Job Description
Candidates are required to hold a clear enhanced CRB, references covering the last 5 years and a full CV covering and explaining any gaps in your employment history and also having the reasons for leaving previous posts.
Knowledge of other children’s services and how they relate to Assessment and Family Support Services • A demonstrated commitment to the Department’s Policy on shared records and clients records • Evidence of sound assessment practice • Committed to quality social work practices • A commitment to anti-oppressive behaviour practice and management • A commitment to working on partnership with carers, children and their families • Willingness and ability to work in an open manner as part of a team with a commitment to sharing and working alongside staff in own and other organisations • A commitment to the child’s rights to have their wishes, feelings and views taken onto account and the right to participate in the social work process • Detailed understanding of the Children Act 1989 • Knowledge and understanding of child development, relating theory and practice • Detailed understanding of the ‘Working Together’ document • DIPSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent • Relevant degree or equivalent • Post qualifying knowledge and experience of working in a Child Care Team • Evidence of direct work with children and their families knowledge and skills required onto practice • Good organisational skills
