Job Description

To manage a team of Outreach Workers to provide a high quality support service for female victims of trafficking.
To develop strong links with operational partners to ensure positive outcomes for victims of trafficking.
To work with the team to develop expertise in the support of women who have been trafficked into the UK and exploited in prostitution and/or forced labour.
To embed best practice through the development and supervision of operational guidance.

1. Experience and knowledge of managing complex caseloads (assessing need, assessing risk, planning, implementing / accessing and evaluating care)
2. Substantial experience of direct work with vulnerable people.
3. Substantial experience of supervising staff.
4. Knowledge of the issues affecting women who have experienced trauma and sexual violence.
5. Substantial experience and knowledge of working with immigration law and criminal justice processes in relation to victims of trafficking.
6. Understanding of trafficking and prostitution and how it affects women with complex support needs.
7. Experience of working in partnership with statutory services (housing, health and/or social services) in developing responsive services.
8. Comprehensive understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities
Skills & Abilities.
9. Ability to participate in the development and implementation of a service user assessment and review process.
10. Ability to coach staff in policies and procedures relating to good practice in support services.
11. Ability to supervise and motivate staff to achieve agreed performance levels.
12. A clear understanding of management processes and procedures.
13. Ability to write and present precise and accurate reports.
14. Ability to carry out research and develop in-house expertise.
15. Ability to communicate effectively with service users, committees, colleagues and other professionals, and promote the organisation
16. Ability to collate and maintain a range of statistical and other information
17. Ability to self service including the use of a word-processing package

19. Proven understanding of and empathy with the needs and rights of women who have been affected by violence

20. Good attendance record and the ability to cope with pressure
21. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and some weekends and duty cover.

It is a genuine occupational requirement that the applicant be female.

The applicant must have an enhanced CRB issued within the last 12 months
