This is a rare opportunity for an experienced policy manager to influence the spatial development of London. Responding to the downturn and planning for the future of a global city that will continue to grow, the London Development Agency is at the heart of London's ongoing evolution. Influencing the Capital's key development and regeneration players, and spending over £500m a year delivering the Mayor's economic development strategy, we aim to foster new partnerships and redevelop over 300 hectares of brownfield land. In this significant role, you will manage a varied portfolio, and help us meet wide-ranging challenges.

You will manage the major spatial issues for London's economy - land use, strategic planning, transport, housing, place making. Turning them from policy into deliverable strategies and projects with optimal outcomes, you will combine outstanding management skills with a collaborative approach. Negotiating, influencing and identifying opportunities at a senior level, you will manage Senior Planning Policy Officers, and work closely with development managers, strategic planners, urban designers and regeneration experts both inside and outside the Agency.

You combine breadth of knowledge in urban spatial policy with a varied track record, including experience in one or more of the following fields: housing, transport, urban planning policy, land use, development economics and regeneration. Your wide-ranging skills will include budget management, briefings preparation, presentation of committee papers and commissioning of consultants.
