Job Description
We have an urgent requirement for a Deputy Team Leader/Principal Planner with management/supervision experience to join their Policy Team.
Our Council client has made environment a top priority and the Council is committed to safeguarding and enhancing the boroughs urban heritage as well as promoting its many development opportunities. With the Local Development Framework preparation underway and the development of the Core Strategy submission document reaching a critical stage there is an urgent need for a principal planner/deputy team leader to take a leading part in the LDF programme.
The post holder will need a thorough knowledge of the relevant legislation and have experience of a broad range of planning work and strong analytical skills. In addition this role requires management experience in terms of supervising staff working on planning policy and evidence based projects and the post holder will be required to act as deputy to the Team Leader of Planning Policy.
