Senior Practitioner (QSW) required for a local authority with a reputation for paying above the industry standard. Senior Practitioner is required to join the children and families initial assessment team on a temporary basis with the children and families social work department. This presents as an excellent opportunity for an experienced main grade social worker looking to progress to more senior positions or an established social work practitioner looking to move their career on and make a contribution elsewhere.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

To carry a caseload of child care cases of children in care and, or statutory orders.

To work with case in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Children's Services strategy and the principles of the Children Act.

To manage caseloads effectively.

To prepare reports for courts or other purposes are required.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Must hold a DipSW or equivalent.
Must be registered with the GSCC.

EXPERIENCE

3 years post qualifying experience of Social Work in a local authority setting. Although candidates with less but fully relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience in Child Care and Child Protection.
Experience of staff and/or student supervision.
Experience of developmental work.
Experience of Inter-agency working
