Job Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor, West London. Major Leading Contractor is currently seeking to develop and grow their share of the market, developing their framework approach. Therefore they are now investing further in their primary asset – Quality Staff.
The position is Permanent subject to the usual probationary period.

Applications are sought from people who:
• Have a sound and verifiable career path working for leading Main Contractors
• Ideally have considerable experience in Decent Homes, Refurbishment Contracting and Partnering Contracts on Residential schemes.
• Can demonstrate an ability to succeed in the UK construction market
• Will probably have at least 5-6 years experience at this level, in the role applied for
• Are able to legally work without restriction in the UK
• Have suitable Tertiary qualifications or relevant practical experience for the position applied for
• Have worked on projects exceeding £6-8m
• Are eager to incorporate current Health & Safety requirements into their approach
• Will bring “added value” in their input to the projects

Job specific
• Decent Homes – Residential refurbishment
• Establish and maintain integrated programme from initial concept, through design, off-site fabrication as appropriate, construction to handover.
• Monitor progress of the design and of later activities and advise management on adjustment of programme and resources.
• Develop, manage and monitor the progress of design deliverables using the project planning software and spreadsheets.
• Report progress regularly.
• Manage activity coding for task team.
• Compile necessary sub-task programmes.
• Manage assistant production staff as required.
• Produce work package planning programme with 2 week look ahead and resource requirements.
