Job Description

The successful applicant will be an experienced labour ward midwife who is an avid team player with excellent communication skills.

Their unit is increasingly popular with just under 4200 women giving birth with them in 2007/08. With a level 3 neonatal unit and home from home rooms, they balance the need for both high risk obstetrics and low risk midwifery led care. This has been a busy year in the unit with the creation of a 24 hour midwifery triage service and additional ensuite facilities for labouring women.

The post is full time or 30hours per week.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Practising Midwife
• ENB 997 or equivalent
• First degree or significant post registration education
• Significant experience in labour ward
