Job Description

Highways Maintenance Manager. This is an additional requirement for a Civils contractor as they continue to pick up Term Maintenance work in and around the M25. This is likely to be one of a number of projects secured in the Home Counties as developments that were on hold are now released for construction.

The Role. Capable of organising Civils schemes that include Term Maintenance, Civils upgrades, concrete repairs, groundworks and infrastructure works. You may have come from an Engineering background and enjoy the wider role, or from a trades origin and have moved into management. This role will require a fair degree of accurate record keeping and IT skills would be beneficial. You are likely to have over 6-8 years site or field experience with at least 3-5 years in the UK. NRSWA and CSCS cards are essential, optional First Aid qualification. Clear written and oral communication skills will be required.

Term Maintenance Contracts are carried out for a number of local authorities in the London area by this established company. They have been heavily involved in the regeneration of the Docklands area in East London. Former clients include London Docklands Development Corporation completing both road and main drainage contracts.

Roads & Highways experience and knowledge required for this permanent position. You should be conversant with Roads and Highway construction, with first hand knowledge of the processes involved and the sequence of construction that is entailed. Projects including road improvement schemes, new roads, bridges over rivers and railways, village bypass schemes, main drainage schemes, subways and tunnels are all relevant.
