...this Local Authority currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Town Planner with either strong background in Economic Development or Transport/Infrastructure Planning.

The role is varied, with responsibilities including:
· To co-ordinate and support the preparation, implementation and monitoring of an Economic Development Strategy for the Council.
· To lead in the development, implementation and evaluation of regeneration and economic development projects across the Borough.
· Developing and disseminating research, monitoring and information services in relation to transport infrastructure, sustainable transport and other matters
· To work collaboratively and co-operatively with the County Council, other District Councils and Statutory Undertakers on a range of transport and economic development–related matters and to represent the Service and Council on a range of working groups and forums with respect to policy development, monitoring and implementation.

To be considered for this position, you should ideally have experience of the following:
· Experience of managing projects effectively, including performance monitoring.
· Experience of putting together funding bids.
· Experience of partnership and/or collaborative working.
· Experience of carrying out research and consultation.
