Job Description

A Sussex Council is looking to recruit a Development Control Officer.

As the Development Control Officer you will require you to process allocated planning applications, enforcement enquiries and notices from initial referral through to the final decision and appeal and to undertake site inspections to check plans and assess proposals.

You will be required to give pre-application advice on planning and enforcement issues by letter, email, telephone and personal contact.

It is essential that you have similar experience in a UK Local Authority and that you have a UK driving license and access to a car.

The successful Development Control Officer will have a sound knowledge of development control and planning enforcement regulations.
