Senior Planning Engineer: An opportunity exists for a Senior Planning Engineer to join a ground breaking global construction and development group with a proud history spanning 100+ years. The successful planning engineer will report to the Chief Estimator at Tender Stage and Planning Manager/Project Manager at contract stage. At the tender stage you will be expected to enhance the chances of success through the preparation of well engineered programmes; the assessment of temporary works requirements and value engineering solutions; assessment of major quantities and also the assessment of errors. You will also need to be an excellent communicator as you will be expected to present programme philosophy and strategy to clients.

At contract stage you prepare monitoring systems and to monitor contract progress, and to prepare monthly reports, and ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures.

Applicants for this role should have:

·Good understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications.
·Good understanding of various methods of planning, programming and progress monitoring.
·Good understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming.
·Good understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, compensation event entitlement.
·Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements.
·Relevant CSCS Card
