Job Description

Senior Sustainability Consultant required for this consulting engineer who has a commitment to consistently provide leading sustainability solutions on a global scale. To be considered for this position you would be required to work from our client's busy London office but there may be times when you are expected to work from other offices.

This post exists for a senior individual to provide sustainability services to the retail and property sectors, to develop and maintain key client relationships and to support the technical development of junior staff. The role is in place to undertake and manage appraisals of the sustainable design and construction of buildings (e.g. using Code for Sustainable Homes / EcoHomes, BREEAM etc.) and to oversee and provide QA in reports produced by the team

In order to be considered for this role you must have an excellent working knowledge of techniques for the appraisal and design of sustainable buildings with regard to sustainable design and construction, an appreciation of the application of sustainable design in the planning system, an appreciation of wider environmental disciplines such as EIA, ecology, contaminated land etc and a track record of achieving planning consents for major clients.

You should also have a degree in Environment / Energy discipline or equivalent [Sustainability Consultants with a background in M&E Engineering or building materials will also be considered.], formal training and accreditation under one or more of the following; Code for Sustainable Homes / EcoHomes / BREEAM / SAP. BREEAM retail a distinct advantage and IEMA membership would be beneficial.
