Project/Site Manager – Commercial Lift installation. Experience in lift installation great but not essential. Lift installation project for an established Contractor, who is willing to travel around the UK and possibly Europe. We are looking for a Project/Site Manager who would be totally responsible for their own project – Commercial lift installation.

Essentials:
As Project/Site Manager you would be fully involved in managing all sub-contractors, relationship management and management of the project. You will have good vision looking forward into the project, work well under pressure and have great problem solving skills.

The Project.
Installation of 2 lifts in a 10 floor new build commercial site. Formwork of shafts is already done; you will need to manage the contractors who install various sections of the lift. You will take the project through from installation to completion and handover to the client.

Project/Site Manager. You will have a background in commercial developments, experience with lifts not essential, either working alone or as a number 2 on a larger scheme. You will be able to manage all aspects of the project and be able to plan ahead. Problem solving skills a must. Coming from a trades or technical background you will probably have at least 5 - 7 years practical site experience, have worked on a number of similar projects and be capable of taking full charge of the site, reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager.

Qualifications. Relevant Site Experience is most important. Tertiary or trade certificated, ideally CSCS carded and with a current First Aid qualification and a 5 day CITB Site Managers course.

The Company. Are leaders in the installation of elevators, escalators and stairwells and have work booked through to 2012. Projects are not limited to UK. They have a Design focus and are employing a management level in their installation department to complete their business.

Conditions 5-6 days per week. Salary package negotiable based on experience plus accommodation and subsistence. The company work hard to retain their staff, and you will be joining a friendly company.
