Job Description
The Rail division of this leading international consultancy is a market leader in the provision of Multi-Disciplinary services to the Railway Sector. Their skills are such that they are able to undertake multi-disciplinary projects worldwide. Focus on major projects is reflected by a current workload including no fewer than 11 major projects with a capital value in excess of £350M. They have a well-earned reputation in Civil and Structural Engineering. As the former British Rail Design Group they have considerable skills in railway bridges, stations and other civil engineering works in a railway environment. They undertake feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs for all types of railway structure.
They are now looking to appoint a Principal Civil Design Engineer and a Assistant Civil Design Engineer foir their London Office. The successful candidates will be working on the structural design of a wide range of infrastructure projects including; stations, platforms, station building and London Underground. Current projects include East London Line, Cooling the Tube and a variety of London Underground Projects.
Successful candidates will be Chartered or working towards Chartered status and be able to demonstrate relevant experience of design and consultancy. Experience in railways and knowledge of London Underground projects and procedures or experience of large-scale infrastructure work is essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills and client facing experience. BEng or MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent is required with some previous bridge design experience being an advantage.
