A fantastic opportunity for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to work for one of the UK's leading geotechnical consultancies. Our client's reputation is built on skills, excellence and commitment of their people, in all aspects of geotechnical engineering.

Our client has an impressive current portfolio of prestigious geotechnical and tunnelling projects in the UK and internationally including high profile rail projects in central London, Dubai and South Africa. They seek to expand the current team of dedicated technical specialists to deliver these exciting commissions and to extend their capability further within the UK and worldwide.

We are offering exciting opportunities for Senior and Principal Geotechnical Engineers to expand their skills and experience within a very active multidisciplinary team. The positions offer you the chance to work with a wide range of public and private sector clients and to develop your management and technical skills.


Requirements:
- Good academic background to MSc or equivalent and be chartered. A strong track record in geotechnical analysis and design is required.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of technical / academic ability within a fast moving commercial consultancy environment. Knowledge of modern construction techniques would be an advantage.
- Experience of preparing and negotiating bids and tenders and the successful execution and completion of small and major projects.
- Have a flare for innovation, good communication and delivery of high quality report writing skills is required.
- Must be a team player / manager and be able to supervise and develop other geotechnical engineers.
- Must hold a current UK driving licence
- Candidates in a position to obtain UK security clearance to SC level would be an advantage
