Job Description
Based in the North West, this client is a diverse authority devoted to growth and regeneration. Currently seeking a Policy Planner, the ideal candidate will require a variety of strategic skills. Deputising for the Strategic Planning Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the Local Development Framework, and will have a key input in to Regional Spatial Strategy. You will produce, monitor and review the full range of Local Development Documents, and also give evidence at public enquiry. You will be heavily involved in engaging the community with various planning schemes, so must have excellent interpersonal skills. In the broader sense, you will be asked to contribute to transport and housing policies and also economic development. This is a four to six month contract with a view to extension.
