..As an experienced Development Control Team Leader you will be responsible for the management, day-to-day function and operation of one of two area Development Control Teams. Your duties will include senior supervisory, procedural and managerial functions involved in the checking of planning applications. You will also be involved with negotiations with applicants, dealing with appeals, and the provision of an advisory service to staff, members and the public, with regard to complex planning matters.

A previous background in Local Government Development Control as well as team supervision and management is essential for this key post.
As an excellent communicator, you will be a highly motivated individual with good negotiating skills and the ability to manage and lead a team.

This role is initially offered on a contract basis until December, with an extension possible.
