Civils Measurement Engineer / Supervisor – Trainee for Term Maintenance. Richmond and south-west London.

The Contractor is a multi-disciplinary infrastructure maintenance business working for both the Private and Public sectors. They have an in-house capability for civil engineering, surfacing, specialist surfaces, hard and soft landscaping, road marking, traffic management and cleansing, delivering the full infrastructure maintenance package to suit the most demanding client requirements. Currently turning over £40m annually they have secure work in the Term Maintenance sector.

The Position is for an enthusiastic person who wants to develop a career working for a very sound company that benefits from having an international parent company, yet retaining the identity of a medium sized organisation. Relevant ongoing Training and Education will be available to develop your career.

Qualifications are not essential, though evidence of an interest in Civil Engineering or Construction would be advantageous. Relevant qualifications, if held, would include HND/HNC, BTEC, CSCS, NRSWA in relevant fields. You must have a good level of written and oral communication in English, preferably with basic IT literacy.

Your Duties would involve working with the Contracts Managers and Commercial Managers / Quantity Surveyors to record works carried out on site. This would involve a mixture of office and site work, preparing schedules and recording operations carried out with attention to variations and extras, so a driving licence is essential.
