Section Engineer
M25
Up to £34,250 + Car and Share options

We urgently require a Section Engineer for a project on the M25. The job will require the following;

Take responsibility for the engineering aspects of a smaller project or section of a large project, developing and reporting of section programmes and budgets and ensuring that the works are conducted safely.

Health, Safety & Environment
Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
Implement the relevant requirements of the SMS within his/her area of responsibility
Ensure that the Health Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce.

Key Working Relationships
Supervising responsibility for Engineers
Liaison with:
• Internal:
- Sub Agent (line manager)
- Foremen (communication of all engineering requirements)
- Materials Engineer (arrangement of testing as required)
- Inspector of works (arrangement of inspection of works as required)
- Intermittent liaison with (General Foremen, Works Manager, Safety Manager, Environmental Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Planner, Buyer, Office Manager)
• External:
- Design Manager (discussing ambiguities/ details)
- Client's representative (confirming requirements, offering works for inspection and confirming acceptance)
- Local Authorities (consents, access issues, service connections)
- Subcontractors (communication of all engineering requirements)

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required

• Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
• Understanding of Engineering Principles
• Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
• Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system).
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
