Sub Agent
M25
Up to £40K + Car and medical cover

Our client is Looking for a Sub Agent to work on their M25 project, the main job function will be;

• To manage resources on a smaller site or within an area of a site as designated by the Agent.
• To allow the works to progress in accordance with the contract programme, to best commercial advantage, without prejudice to the health and safety of employees, sub-contractors or the public at large and taking into full account environmental considerations.

Key Working Relationships

Supervising responsibility for: Senior Engineers
Liaison with:
• Internal:
- Agent (Line Manager)
- Section Engineer (interim targets, position on programme and budget)
- Works Manager (upcoming plant and labour requirement)
- Foremen (outstanding issues, interim targets)
- Section Manager (state of progress, wide reaching issues)
- Quantity surveyor (variations, valuations and budget forecasts)
• External:
- Design manager (discussing ambiguities/ details)
- Client's representative (confirming requirements, scope and instruction)
- Subcontractors (valuations, variations, performance, working methods and requirements)
- Local Authorities (consents, access issues, service connections)
- Other contractors (synchronising activities, setting shared goals)

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required

Essential:
• Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
• Understanding of Engineering Principles
• Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract through formal training.
• Extensive Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
• Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software).
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
