Job Title: Senior Rail/Civils Agent - Olympics
Location: East London
Type: Contract
Pay rate: £28/hr - £32/hr depending on experience.
Be involved in history in the making, be part of the team that will deliver the 2012 Olympics. An opportunity has arisen within a large main contractor operating within the UK at present for an Agent with previous Network Rail Experience.

Company
This multi million £ Olympic project run by a prestigious blue chip company is looking for an experienced Senior Rail Agent. The company provides a range of Civil Engineering construction services throughout the UK, with this position being part of a large team constructing part of the Olympics 2012.
Main Duties
As the Senior Agent you will be working very closely with the Project Director to effectively manage and monitor costs of the project you are based on, together with the management of both Section Agents and your team and sub-contractor programmes, control and monitoring of safety in line with the method statements and risk assessments and company standards and assisting with the compliance including Quality Systems.
Requirements
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
•Significant number of years experience within the network rail environment delivering high end rail/civil projects.
•Be able to effectively manage all facets of a large project such as commercial, quality, and construction systems while adhering to the strict network rail guidelines.
•Excellent understanding of UK civil construction practices and management systems including network rail operating systems and requirements.
•Previous demonstrated experience in understanding contractual and commercial aspects of large rail/civil contracts.
• A practical minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills
•A solutions-orientated attitude with proven leadership qualities.
•A technical qualification to HNC/HND or GNVQ level in Civil Engineering
