Site Manager – Main Contractor - Construction – Colchester - Essex

One of the UK's largest privately owned Main Contractors is activley looking for a Site Manager for a £4.8million hospital project in Colchester, Essex. This project is part New Build and Part Refurbishment to an existing building.

The successful Site Manager will be reporting to a Project Manager. As a Site Manager it will be your role to ensure sub contractors and labour staff is working towards programme safely and with the work quality to a high level.

Future projects will be with in Essex, Kent, or London. Project values will range from £3million - £50million and will be based on Design & Build or Traditional forms of contract. Projects will be with in the Health, Education, Leisure, Commercial, and Retail sectors.

The successful Site Manager will have excellent man management skills, good technical knowledge of construction (contractual awareness, CDM etc), come across presentable and articulate to clients etc, and have good organising skills. The ideal Site Manager will have a stable track record with experience working with in the UK for a Main Contractor, have experience running contracts in the sectors mentioned above from start to finish. Having worked on projects up to £20 Million in value will be to an advantage.
