Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Highways Engineer for an on-going contract. The post is predominately office based, but visits to sites and attendance at meetings is required.

Responsibilities:

* To propose scheme options and prepare designs from inception through to detailed design to permit implementation.
* Establish agreed solutions with interested parties, which meet engineering and environmental considerations.
* Establish achievable scheme programmes and manage project staff to ensure programme targets are achieved.
* Prepare estimates, monitor and review project costs to ensure completion within agreed budgets.
* Prepare, tender and assess contract documents and provide technical input and project management throughout construction period.

Requirements:

- Experience in:
* the design and construction of highway and related projects
* the supervision of construction projects.
* the management of highway projects.

* Knowledge of Contract procedures.
* Chartered Engineer or demonstrated performance at this level
* Educated to degree or HND standard in Civil Engineering or equivalent
