Internationally Award Winning Consultancy specialising in effective construction design solutions is currently seeking Drainage design engineers to join their busy office in Kent. Variety of Projects where the core workload is based on Highway improvements associated with residential, commercial and leisure schemes.

In addition to the U.K. the European operations are covered by our offices in Prague, and Zurich, with our Middle East and South East Asian interests covered by our offices in Dubai and Hong Kong.

With the Group's recent acquisitions it has a wealth of experience in the design and construction of some of the worlds most exciting commercial high rise buildings many of which are in South East Asia.

Due to the success in expanding work portfolio, they are seeking to increase the size of their infrastructure design team in Kent. Initially looking for an enthusiastic Engineer with particular experience in UK highway and drainage design for S38 and S278 adoption approvals.

You will be involved with the design and specification of highway and drainage schemes for property developments, including liaison with developers, local authorities, architects and statutory authorities. An interest in design for sustainable development and alternative materials would be an advantage.

Ultimately you will be expected to take ownership of all elements of your projects from the initial data collection, through the planning process, detailed design, technical and safety audits and, if appropriate the contract administration, site supervision and financial aspects.

Our clients' deadlines are important to us and you should be capable of working within the constraints of an agreed programme and prevent avoidable delays.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential - HND/Degree level in Civil Engineering.

Preferable - An Incorporated Engineer, or be working towards your professional qualification.

EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the detail design of UK highway schemes involving the Highways Act Sections 38 and 278, environment and traffic management measures including:

Traffic calming measures
Cycle Routes
Junction design and improvements
Pavement design
Drainage design
Drafting of specifications
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Autotrack, Word and Excel
Knowledge of PDS and/or WinDes preferred
