This is a great opportunity for a highways maintenance engineer to join one of the frontrunners in the industy at their Bedford office. Dure to rapid expansion our client is looking for outstanding individuals with the skills and abilities to contribute to their growth. The transportation division in Bedford is one of the largest of its kind in the South East providing various consultancy services to the Highways Agency.

The Highways Maintenance Engineer will support a team of highway maintenance designers to develop and deliver an annual programme of vital schemes on behalf of the Highways Agency. You will be required to work with designers, contractors, sub contractors and suppliers as well as liaise with the representatives from the emergency services, local authorities and client in the development of the scheme design.

The successful candidate will have some experience of working on UK based maintenance projects and an understanding of UK Highways Agency design standards. Good interpersonal skills and a professional approach as well as a clean driving licence are required.
