Job Description

Site Engineer with Groundworks & RC background. Additional new projects have been won following successfully bidding for new commercial projects. There is now a Freelance requirement on a stand alone basis for a complex of RC frames on a project of £5m. An immediate requirement is for a Freelance Engineer for a job that goes through 2008.

Additionally, Experienced Civil Engineers are required for the roles of Senior and Project Engineer on nearby projects. These are immediate requirements for this expanding civil engineering contractor. Established over 10 years ago they have established a reputation for winning work and profitably completing their projects.

The Company has a turnover exceeding £30m and is actively pursuing and winning bigger contracts, with work secured for the forthcoming year that will see a growth in turnover year on year.

As Senior or Site Engineers you will have an engineering background and be capable of taking on setting out and basic supervisory responsibilities as needed for site based positions. Successful candidates will come from Engineering backgrounds and will be expected to be predominantly involved in setting out, though they will be also be responsible for QA / QC and the associated record keeping duties.

The Rewards are based on a 5 ½ day working week and the hourly rate is a guide and can be increased for exceptional candidates, dependant on levels of skill. Long term career and promotion prospects with this growing company are considerable for above average candidates. You must be able to supervise and assist juniors, Direct Labour and Sub-Contractors.

Qualified to Degree or to tertiary level in a Civil Engineering or Construction discipline field you will have relevant recent UK experience working for a recognised company. Preferably CSCS carded, you must be legally permitted to live and work in the UK to be considered.
