Job Description

A fantastic contract opportunity for 12 months (3month initial contract then performance review) for a skilled and experienced Town Planner.

Skills Required

- Ability to act as a lead officer in a mixture of cases, including some of the most complex and controversial planning applications in the London.

- A high level of written and verbal communication skills.

- The ability to manage a complex and challenging caseload whilst under pressure.

- Ability to hit strict deadlines whilst achieving a balance between quality and quantity of work.

- Ability to meet set performance targets.

- Proven good negotiator.

- The ability to write clear reports on a wide range of planning issues.

- Developed analytical skills in determining applications.

- A good understanding of planning issues, government guidance and planning law.

- Developed urban design skills.

- Ability to produced written appeal statements for the Council.

- Some expertise in energy and sustainability issues
