One of the UK's leading environmental consultancies, headquartered in central London, is looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join it's successful Environmental Assessment and Design team.

The Senior Environmental Consultant in London will join one of the the largest and most highly rated EIA teams within the UK, with an 18 year history. Their prestigious portfolio of domestic and international projects include large-scale masterplans, quarrying, mixed use, leisure and heritage based redevelopment.

The appointee will work on environmental impact assessments, technical studies, environmental management plans, sustainability appraisals and strategic environmental assessments. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the co-ordination of a variety of EIA projects, including budgetary control; oversee the preparation of environmental statements by more junior members of the EAD team; liaise effectively with clients to develop productive relationships; contribute to business development, and company initiatives, such as development of new services and improving standards. The individual will also prepare fee proposals and assist with bids.

The Senior Environmental Consultant will have an appropriate first degree; thorough knowledge of EIA, including guidelines, planning processes and environmental assessment methods, gained through major technical input into environmental projects; be a strong team player; possess excellent report writing, communication and project management skills, and have client liaison experience. They should also have the ability to supervise and support more junior members of staff. Candidates with a good understanding of EIA case law or an appropriate professional membership will have an advantage.
