Job Description

A confident well versed Civil Engineering CAD Technician who has up to date full version AutoCAD skills with an ability to display a flair for the work involved. (Additional familiarity with Microstation /ESRI shape files / GIS inputs would be beneficial)

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 3 years experience using AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of a 3D modeling package.
• Able to maintain a drawing library and archive system and have office skills.
• Working with and alongside other members of the team and be able to prioritise workloads.
• Reporting to Site Agent and Survey Manager for day to day procedures.
• Responsible for providing AutoCAD support throughout all the business sectors.
• Preferable attributes to include civil engineering and surveying experience.
• Preferably you will have an HNC qualification and a minimum of 5 years experience of site work.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings.
• The ability to deal with a high work load and work well under pressure.
• Excellent organisation skills, flexible with good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to commit to deadlines and willing to work extra hours when needed.
• Enthusiastic personality.

Person Specification

• To use AutoCAD 2004 or higher.
• Knowledge of correct x-ref procedures, plot styles and layer organisation within drawings.
• Working knowledge of Microstation and ESRI Shape files
• Ability to prioritise workloads in an effective manner.
• The ability to deal with a high work load and work well under pressure.
• Excellent organisation skills, flexible with good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to commit to deadlines and willing to work extra hours when needed.
• Enthusiastic personality.

The successful applicants will be offered £19 - £23 / hr depending on experience.
