Our private sector client has developed a niche within the residential development sector working for many of the leading developers, utilising community consultation, in-depth planning knowledge tailored to the commercial environment. The company has a growing portfolio of exciting and challenging projects and we are keen to appoint a talented and ambitious person who wants to be involved in expanding our dynamic business.

Community Consultation is becoming a generally accepted requirement of many planning applications and this is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for a more innovative approach to securing planning consent on behalf of developers and land owners and who recognises the benefits to the community of their involvement.

You need to be well organised, able to work under pressure and have the ability to use your own initiative whilst ensuring deadlines are met. Excellent oral and written communication skills together with project management skills are a pre requisite as the position involves significant client liaison and negotiation on their behalf.

You must have;
•A degree in Town Planning
•Minimum of 3-5 years of planning experience in development control of which a minimum of 1-2 years must be within the UK
•The majority of experience must be in development control

Desirable;
•A residential bias
•An interest in community consultation
•Some experience of the private sector
