Job Description

Freelance Site Engineer. External works package, extending over a 3-4 month period. The option is a Freelance role or a Permanent post if you prefer. The Contractor is equally happy with either option.

The Contractor. Working on projects from £250,000 to £10m.this regional Contractor turns over some £40m annually. Geographically covering an area up to 65 miles from central London, the bulk of their current projects are in south London, Surrey and Hampshire. Additional projects have recently been won in these areas necessitating an increase in the number of staff required to run these schemes.

A leading Engineering, Groundworks and Concrete frame contractor, the company was established in the early nineties and has seen steady growth over the last 15 years, with a plan to continue growing and expanding within the constraints of a successful programme.

Working with leading Developers and Main Contractors there are many contracts won on the basis of previously successful jobs and this level of repeat business is consistently growing.
Current project types include:
• RC basements and superstructure
• Waste handling and recycling facilities
• Low level housing developments
• Groundworks and concrete frame for a mixed development
• Enabling works, piling mat and sub station

With an Engineering qualification to a tertiary level you will have relevant UK experience in setting out for RC frames, Groundworks and associated infrastructure. You will be IT literate, able to read and interpret drawings and schedules, capable of producing and writing method statements and daily / weekly programmes, used to issuing RFI’s and able to liaise with main contractors, clients and local authorities.
