Site Managers x 3 – Residential Timber Frame & Traditional Projects. Live requirements. New Housing Association projects for an established Contractor, in the South London postcodes. We are looking for 3 Site Managers who would be totally responsible for their own projects - new build residential developments. As Site Manager you would be fully involved in all the construction elements of the site, also having an important role in working with the commercial side of the company.

The Projects:
1. 16 flats in 2 blocks for a local housing association. RC ground floor slabs and timber frame above, basements for car parking with accommodation on the ground and upper floors. Traditional construction to incorporate masonry and pre-cast floor slabs. You will take the project through to completion and handover to the client.
2. 20 apartments of 2 and 3 bedrooms in a single block. Similar to above.
3. Full timber frame construction for 18 units. All projects taken through to handover to the Housing Associations.

Site Manager. You will have a background in residential developments, either working alone or as a number 2 on a larger scheme. Coming from a trades or technical background you will probably have at least 5 - 7 years practical site experience, have worked on a number of similar projects and be capable of taking full charge of the site, reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager.

Qualifications. Relevant Site Experience is most important. Tertiary or trade certificated, ideally CSCS carded and with a current First Aid qualification and a 5 day CITB Site Managers course.

The Company is involved in a mix of social and private housing schemes, in new build and refurbishment sectors. There is a mixture of Timber Frame and Traditional Build in the different projects. The Company specialises in finding and reclaiming sites, identifying their full potential, based on their size, shape, accessibility and immediate surroundings, then working with the local Housing Association to provide dwellings suited to that area. They have a Design & Build capability for the affordable housing and special housing for the disabled, to maximise the site value and compliment the local environment.

Conditions. Your working hours would generally be 0800 to 1700 or 0730 to 1630 x 5 days per week, with 20 days holiday per year of which 1 week is taken at Xmas. The proposed salary package would be £38 to £40,000, though this is negotiable based on experience, plus twice yearly performance bonuses, plus travel expenses and welfare options.
