Job Description

Senior Site Manager. To work on a major brownfield re-development site in west London. An immediate requirement to join this developer working on this high profile scheme for one on the UK’s foremost developers.

The Project. This is a major mixed use re-generation project that will see the construction of a luxury hotel, an aparthotel, over 500 residential units for private and affordable housing, retail and commercial units, fitness centre, restaurant and bars. The entire complex will be set within landscaped gardens and squares. Travel links by rail to central London and the UK rail network are nearby as well as being convenient for Heathrow airport.

The Role. You must have experience in working on RC frames and/or fit out for hotels, substantial private residential or housing association schemes, commercial or leisure developments. Of major importance is the knowledge gained from working either for a relevant main contractor or subcontractor or supervising them if coming from a main contractor background. Your experience will have come from co-ordinating and supervising the activities of subcontractors and / or a direct labour force on a large scale scheme.

Background. A Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualification to a tertiary level is preferred as is evidence of working with and relevant qualifications to do with RC, both in situ and pre-cast, fit out and service installations. Additionally current CSCS certification and proof of an up to date knowledge of relevant H&S legislation is sought. You will need to have good oral and written communication skills and be prepared to work a 6 day week on construction hours. You may currently be working as a site or senior engineer and seeking additional responsibility and career progression.

Salary. A package that includes a good basic of £50,000+, plus performance bonus and the usual benefits associated with a PAYE post for a reputable employer is on offer. You must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK to be considered for the post.
