QUANTITY SURVEYOR – Junior / Intermediate. Due to the recent award of additional new build and refurbishment contracts a medium sized contractor requires an additional Quantity Surveyor to assist in their office and on site.

The initial projects vary from 6 to 24 units and an understanding of negotiating and letting packages on new residential blocks ranging from demolition and groundworks through to and including cladding, new windows, kitchens and bathrooms and M & E Services would be advantageous. Some of the contracts are underway, with other starts on site confirmed for late 2007 / early 2008.

Head Office Based:
* Applicants will be required to work on site from time to time
* Minimum of 3 years surveying experience ideally though day release or similar will be considered, salary will be adjusted accordingly
* Part or Fully Degree Qualified
* Clean Smart Appearance
* Long Term Team Player
* Computer Literate with a Sound Knowledge of Excel

The applicants will preferably live between the M25 and the south coast and ideally must have experience working on new build Housing Association projects, be enthusiastic and commercially aware.

The applicants will be Head Office based and report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, but will also be required to work from the client’s site offices from time to time. The successful person must be a good communicator, enjoy working within a team environment and will be fully involved in a variety of commercial aspects of the project. A good IT knowledge and understanding is expected.
