Job Description

An international consultancy require a Highway Design Engineer in Gillingham. Your role will ensure that all work is carried out to current standards and are completed to budget and programme. As a highway designer you will support and guide junior designers and prepare drawings and documents for Highway improvements.

The candidate should have a B Eng or M Eng in Civils or equivalent, competent in the use of Microsoft office products.
In depth Knowledge of Highway Design CDM, CDM and Health and Safety regulations and hold a Full UK Driving licence.

Your background and experience should include the following
·Recording risk assessments
·Carrying out site surveys on live carriageways and recording information for data transfer
·Organisation and liaison with stakeholders, local authorities, police and contractors
·Preparation of design briefs
·Considering and preparing outlines for traffic management drawings
·Production and compilation of studies and reports
Desirable knowledge of Auto Cad, MX Moss and supervisory experience.
