Job Description

Our Client incorporates an automated laboratory functionality amalgamating frontline testing for routine Haematology, Coagulation, Biochemistry and elements of Immunology and Viral Serology. The Blood Sciences Laboratory is one of the largest integrated, automated laboratories in Europe, ensuring we continue to remain at the leading edge of developments in Pathology.

You will participate in the provision of a comprehensive and appropriate diagnostic service to users; through the performance and interpretation of semi-automated and fully automated laboratory investigations in the BSLS using the Bayer-Siemens LabCell and CentraLink Data Management System.

We are looking for an enthusiastic state registered Biomedical Scientist with a good knowledge of Haematology and Blood Transfusion. You must have a good teamwork approach to work, organisational skills, and the ability to use your own initiative and take responsibility. The post is rotational and offers you the opportunity to gain experience in our Immunophenotyping and Haemoglobinopathy laboratories, which includes Red Cell Protein and DNA Diagnosis, in addition to the Haematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion laboratories.
