Job Description

Logistics Manager, Assistant. To work on a major brownfield re-development site in west London. An immediate requirement to join the newly appointed Logistics Manager on this high profile scheme for one on the UK’s foremost developers.

The Project. This is a major mixed use re-generation project that will see the construction of a luxury hotel, an aparthotel, over 500 residential units for private and affordable housing, retail and commercial units, fitness centre, restaurant and bars. The entire complex will be set within landscaped gardens and squares. Travel links by rail to central London and the UK rail network are nearby as well as being convenient for Heathrow airport.

The Role. Your experience will have come from co-ordinating activities of subcontractors and / or direct labour force on a large scale scheme. With 5 tower cranes and 10 hoists there will be plenty of activity and a large number of consecutive operations to be watched over and co-ordinated, at any one time, to ensure that the site runs smoothly with minimal downtime.

Background. Experience in the construction industry is essential as are a current CSCS cetification, Appointed Person and Forklift tickets are desirable. You will need to have good oral and written communication skills and be prepared to work a 6 day week on construction hours. You must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK to be considered for the post.

Salary. A package that includes a good basic of £35 to £40,000 plus the usual benefits associated with a PAYE post for a reputable employer is on offer.
