The role will be to undertake detailed civil engineering design of earthworks, drainage, highways and infrastructure, perhaps leading a small team working on projects, to ensure service and project work are carried within agreed deadlines and within budget, to prepare technical schedules, to plan and manage CAD documentation of design work, to work closely with and monitor performance of Technician (as appropriate) under guidance of senior staff, represent them in meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers.
You must ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are made, and ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
You should be looking to actively work towards Chartered Engineering status - my client offer an ICE accredited training scheme to assist in becoming chartered.
