Job Description

An enthusiastic engineer is needed to join our Client's team in Surrey, UK. You will be working in a team providing engineering support relating to development applications within flood plains. You should have a degree in civil or environmental engineering and have at least 2 years relevant industry experience. Ideally you will have some experience in the design of drainage or flood projects, familiarity with the impact of urban development on drainage catchments and flooding problems, dealing with development applications including local government, developers and Clients. Some experience using hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS or MIKE11 would useful for the role, but is not essential.

More important than specific technical skills are a flexible approach and good communication skills as you will be dealing with all parties involved in the planning process.

This contract will initially be for a period of 3 months but may well be extended beyond this.
