Site Manager, Build & Fit Out. Dynamic and progressive contractor with a current turnover exceeding £150m has an additional requirement for a competent Site Manager to run a new job in Brixton.

The project is a block of 67 apartments which has been brought out of the ground by the current team who are moving on to a new job. The need is for a Site Manager who is able to make the site watertight by adding the roof and then taking the job through to fit out and handover.

This is a turnkey scheme and the contractor has a good working relationship with their client so we need someone who can progress the job whilst also ensuring that the client is kept involved.

You will have probably come from a Carpentry background and have management experience or an Engineering / Construction Management training with relevant site experience. A formal qualification will be advantageous, however of more importance is the level of skills and responsibility that you are able to demonstrate. Ideally CITB trained, CSCS carded with a First Aid certificate.

Long term prospects are good as the contractor is steadily increasing their workforce in line with the works already secured for 2007 / 2008. Preference will be given to candidates seeking a permanent position, however a trial basis may be available. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
