Design & Build Planner. 2 major projects starting in the summer and an increasing market share mean that an additional Design & Build Planner is required on a long term permanent basis. Experience in Design & Build projects will be advantageous along with a background in RC frames.

The company has been established for over 15 years and has successfully completed projects from £2m 6/8 quality apartments, £2.5m commercial jobs to the larger schemes of 120 to 200 units valued up to £35m throughout the UK. Many of the schemes are able to provide clients with in house construction capability in design and build of reinforced concrete frame packages along with envelope and fit out. The company works as a construction and development partner for a number of their clients and joint venture companies.

Your background will demonstrate a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a Construction related degree, a verifiable track record working for either a reputable RC frame contractor or a main contractor with Design & Build capacity and a practical approach to construction methods. You must be commercially and technically aware with the ability to liaise with professionals at all levels.

Your understanding should extend to reinforced concrete frame solutions, along with the use and development of formwork and falsework systems, embracing the whole reinforced concrete frame concept. You will be expected to help in the promotion of economic and fast track design and construction techniques which include the incorporation of precast and steel elements, when dealing with clients, both potential and retained.

Salary expectations of £60 to £70,000 will be met with an associated package giving car or allowance and substantial bonus potential.

Location. Whilst the company operates nationally, this post is for their South-East region, you must have a current driving licence. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered for the post.
